ACG carried out a rapid rural appraisal (RRA) in 10 communities of Gegharkunik marz, focusing on identifying the most effective strategies for enhancing the management and use of local forests and pastures. Our team developed a tailored methodology for selecting the communities, ensuring that both socio-economic and environmental factors were carefully considered to provide a balanced perspective.

We designed all the necessary data collection tools in line with RRA best practices and assembled a team of specialists to gather primary data directly from the field. This data, combined with relevant secondary information, was used to produce a comprehensive RRA report. The report provided in-depth insights into the current conditions of forest and pasture management in the area. Additionally, ACG formulated targeted recommendations for the establishment of new forests and the development of improved pastures, offering practical solutions to support sustainable resource management in the selected communities.
