Since December 2025, Avenue Consulting Group has been implementing the Energy Efficiency (EE) Awareness and Practical Capacities at Local Level project under a program financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented through GIZ. The project supports Armenia’s national energy efficiency and climate objectives by strengthening awareness, technical knowledge, and practical skills related to energy-efficient solutions at the community level.

The assignment focuses on increasing access to energy efficiency information, products, and financing options for households, municipalities, and local market actors. It targets selected municipalities and regions, promoting energy-efficient practices in residential and public buildings, with particular attention to cost-effective solutions suitable for local conditions and vulnerable groups.

Key components of the project include։

- development and adaptation of user-friendly EE awareness and training materials;

- delivery of targeted training sessions for municipal staff, local professionals, and private sector actors;

- organisation of public awareness-raising events and exhibitions to showcase practical EE solutions;

- support to local stakeholders in understanding EE technologies, investment options, and potential benefits.

By combining capacity building, practical demonstrations, and public outreach, the project contributes to improved understanding and uptake of energy efficiency measures at the local level. It supports municipalities and citizens in reducing energy consumption and costs, improving comfort and living conditions, and advancing Armenia’s transition toward a more energy-efficient and climate-resilient development pathway.
