Assessment of socio-economic and environmental co-effects of the LT-LEDS implementation

Assessment of socio-economic and environmental co-effects of the LT-LEDS implementation

The overall goal of the task was to conduct assessment of socio-economic and environmental co-effects of the LT-LEDS (Long-Term Low Emission Development Strategies) implementation by taking into account intergenerational equity, gender considerations and the needs of local communities, and other vulnerable strata of population.

The assessment followed a comprehensive approach, including the collection and analysis of both primary and secondary data, stakeholder consultations, and focus group discussions with local communities and experts. The primary aim was to assess the potential socio-economic advantages and environmental impacts of the LT-LEDS, ensuring that the strategy is inclusive and sustainable, benefiting all stakeholders in the long term.

The findings were compiled into a detailed report, which outlines the socio-economic and environmental co-effects of implementing LT-LEDS and offers actionable recommendations for fostering sustainable development.
