On April 25, 2014, a regional discussion on climate change vulnerability assessment was held in the Vayots Dzor Regional Administration Hall. The event was opened by Edgar Ghazaryan, Governor of Vayots Dzor, and Diana Harutyunyan, Coordinator of the UNDP Climate Change Program in Armenia.
The discussion was organized by Avenue Consulting Group and Apricot Plus as part of the UN's climate change initiatives in Armenia. The main goal of the meeting was to develop an adaptation strategy for the Vayots Dzor region in response to climate change and climate-related risks.

Participants included representatives from the Vayots Dzor Regional Administration, Ministry of Emergency Situations, regional agriculture support centers, community members, and tourism industry representatives.
