❇️ On May 8, 2025, a kick-off meeting was held at the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia within the framework of “Climate-Adaptive Food Security Enhancement Project (CAFSEP)” with participation of the consortium implementing “Rural Development and Agriculture Consultant” (RDAC) services — “Avenue Consulting Group” LLC and “3R Strategy” LLC — as well as representatives from Ministry of Economy and World Food Programme (WFP).
During the meeting, participants discussed project implementation details and upcoming action plan.
“Climate-Adaptive Food Security Enhancement Project (CAFSEP)” is financed through Asian Development Bank (ADB) by Japan Fund for Prosperous and Resilient Asia and the Pacific (JFPR). Ministry of Economy of Republic of Armenia acts as implementing agency, while World Food Programme (WFP) and ADB serve as technical advisory institutions.
CAFSEP aims to support Government of Armenia in strengthening resilience of agricultural livelihoods and improving food security in rural areas highly vulnerable to climate change impacts. Focus areas include Shirak and Tavush marzes. Final objective is to enhance climate adaptability of selected rural communities and households.
