Avenue Consulting Group is proud to announce that Lilit Minasyan, Partner for Environmental and Climate Advisory, represented Armenia at the 10th Annual UN-SPIDER Conference, held in Beijing from January 17 to 22, 2025. The conference, themed "Early Warnings for All", gathered global experts to discuss disaster risk reduction strategies and the role of space-based technologies in emergency response.

During the event, Lilit presented Armenia’s experience in flood response, highlighting innovative practices and key lessons learned in disaster risk reduction. As a leading expert in GIS, remote sensing, and climate adaptation, she underscored the critical importance of early warning systems in mitigating the devastating impacts of natural disasters.

The conference also featured a hands-on training program titled "New Satellite Resources for Emergency Response," organized in collaboration with APSCO, NDRCC, and RCSSTEAP. Participants explored advanced tools such as the Disasters Charter and the Charter Mapper, gaining valuable insights into leveraging satellite-based solutions for disaster management.

Lilit’s participation at this prestigious international event reaffirms Armenia’s commitment to harnessing space-based technologies for effective disaster response and risk reduction.
