Tigran Grigoryan, co-founder and Head of Operational Management Consulting at Avenue Consulting Group, discussed the challenges of traditional business management practices in Armenia. He noted that many business owners still rely on trusting friends or relatives for important positions, even when they lack the necessary skills, which can severely harm the business.

 

Grigoryan emphasized that the days of managing a business "by hand"—reacting to issues as they arise—are over. However, many Armenian businesses, even large ones, still operate without structured management systems that prevent potential problems.

 

He stressed the importance of having clear internal rules and defined business processes to improve efficiency and minimize conflicts. Grigoryan explained that implementing a management system can enhance work efficiency, reduce duplicate efforts, and create a more consistent onboarding experience for new employees, ultimately contributing to business success.
