Organic origin manure fertilizer studies in Armenia
The Consultant was contracted to conduct baseline assessment, value chain analysis, cost-benefit studies, roundtable discussions, and development of a draft policy brief. The project aimed to promote sustainable approaches to agricultural waste management while supporting the organic fertilizer sector in Armenia.
As part of the project, a study was conducted to assess the potential for producing organic fertilizers from manure and other agricultural waste in Armenia. The objectives were to:
- Map existing capacities and stakeholders involved in organic fertilizer production
- Analyze the legal, institutional and technical frameworks
- Study potential value chains and conduct cost-benefit analyses
- Develop recommendations on production models, policy incentives, and institutional cooperation
