Comprehensive Socio-Economic Study of Armenia with Special Focus on Agricultural Value Chains

The Consultant was contracted by Heifer Project International to conduct comprehensive socio-economic study of Armenia based on available secondary data. The Study served as a base for programming of Heifer interventions in Armenia for the upcoming years. The Study included comprehensive information on almost all aspects economy of Armenia, including but not limited to macroeconomic indicators, main sectors of economy, labor, social protection, poverty, education and youth, tourism, etc. Special attention was paid at agriculture and especially at fruits and milk production value chains. The Consultant elaborated a number of recommendations aimed at raising efficiency of the mentioned value chains.
